Mini-Me
Do you ever look down at your child and think “Bugger, we are dressed in the same outfit“? Have you ever realised as you walk down the street that you co-ordinate with your four month old son? I’ve had to get changed on more than a few occasions (easier for me to get changed than him) as I’ve nearly stepped out in creepy matching outfits. Like the recent navy-and-white-stripe incident; a onsie for him, a t-shirt for me. And then there’s just “matching” colours. With great horror today I noticed that he was wearing a kelly green and white patterned hat, and I was wearing a kelly green and white striped singlet. Not too bad, except he was in the carrier which made the co-ordination very clear. So clear someone pointed it out to me.
I guess I dress him in the mornings with the same emotions that dress me in the morning. Feeling nautical? A breton stripe! Feeling “rock” – grey marle and denim. For both of us. As he gets older it will probably get worse. Trainers, jeans, t-shirt and a cardie will serve us both well. I just hope that it doesn’t end in tears and becomes a full blown “MotherBoy” fiasco!

Hey- nothing wrong with matchings! I end up doig it regularly. The Dad in our family actually seeks the matching outfits out. We have even recieved cute parent-child matching t-shirts from Threadless from understanding friends.
